The Master Blaster

Doug Rawady is a man of many talents both in and out of the professional world, but with nearly 40 years of sales, service, management, marketing, and personal development experience under his belt, he clearly brings a seasoned and unique perspective to the process of "doing business."

The Early Going

As a pre-teen, he got his first taste of working with the public waiting on customers in the family business...a soda fountain/restaurant in upstate New York. Though only 12 years old at the time, Doug quickly realized he had a natural way with people and actually enjoyed the personal customer interaction. And thanks to the guidance of his father, he also learned early on the importance of taking care of the customer. A lesson that served him well over the next few decades as he worked in a variety of sales and service jobs.

Throughout the ‘70s and early ‘80s Doug was employed in a number of sales and management positions...everything from retail selling and managing departmental production while still living in New York State, to leading a sales team in Denver, Colorado while working for a California-based, cold-call, direct sales organization.

An Atypical Education

While in Denver, Doug also became keenly interested in personal development/human potential training and education. He participated in Werner Erhard’s “est” training; one of the most successful entrants in the human potential movement to come out of the ‘70s. The experience ignited in him an enthusiasm to learn more, and as much as possible, to incorporate some of the ideas and principals into the sales and management process.

The quest for personal and professional excellence training continued in the years following Doug’s relocation to Connecticut in 1982. He participated in multi-day seminars led by motivational author and speaker, Tony Robbins, and attended training workshops led by sales and personal development gurus the likes of Tom Hopkins, Brian Tracy, Mark Victor Hansen and Todd Duncan. He completed the 11 week Floyd Wickman “Sweathogs®” real estate training program, and joined Toastmasters International in order to further hone his communication and presentation skills.

Additional study in the fields of NLP and Eriksonian Hypnotherapy augmented Doug's already considerable "influence" capabilities to the extent that meaningful communication became as effortless as breathing! Suffice to say, the information and practical experience gleaned from these and other educational programs and events transformed Doug’s approach to sales and interpersonal relationships.

At about the same time as he was getting his sales mojo fired up, Doug was introduced to the somewhat unconventional philosophies and practices of marketing wizard, Jay Abraham. As much as any other mentor's teachings he'd been exposed to, Jay's ideas and approach to business proved to be enormously influential and played a pivotal role in shaping Doug's own "no limits" thinking.

Takin' It To The Streets

From 1991 through 2007 Doug worked in partnership with Realtor professionals throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut as a residential mortgage originator. Incorporating much of what he had learned and experienced first-hand over the years, he was able to position himself as a true business asset for both the Realtors and their customers. For select Realtors, he became a coach/strategist...offering sales, marketing, and business development tactics designed to take their business to the next level. At the same time, he was routinely acknowledged for providing a first-class customer service experience for the clients whose home financing needs he was handling.

Since early 2008, Doug has gradually focused more of his energies on helping struggling business professionals from all corners create lemonade from lemons by getting them to "move outside the box" in both their thinking and actions...creating massive value for their clients, while typically adding eye-popping income streams from accessible but previously unrecognized and/or untapped assets and resources.

Beyond the world of business, Doug is an accomplished guitarist/vocalist and songwriter, a skilled graphic designer, and a talented voice-over artist. Check back often to learn more about these (and other) competencies.
